AMSTERDAM GAY PRIDE 2013

Event: 18th edition of Amsterdam’s world-leading Gay Pride
Location: Indoor and outdoor venues all over Amsterdam
From: 27 July to 4 August 2012

Described last year by news organisation CNN as one of ‘the best picks around the world for celebrating Pride’, Amsterdam Gay Pride is one of those events that seems to embody the spirit and character of its iconic location. Still the only Gay Pride parade on Earth to take place on the water, this event is, for many Amsterdammers – and increasingly for visitors in the know – the highlight of the summer’s cultural agenda in a city that knows how to party and has much to celebrate. For revellers of all stripes, the parade and the host of other Amsterdam Gay Pride events represent the perfect opportunity to explore and delight in a city that’s treasured internationally for its unique spirit of tolerance and diversity.

Amsterdam Gay Pride 2013: A Bigger Splash!

One of the very biggest public events in the Netherlands, the 18th edition of Amsterdam Gay Pride has a special significance – happening, as it does, in an auspicious landmark year for the city. 2013 is the year that the city of Amsterdam celebrates the 400th anniversary of its magnificent canal network, with a host of exhibitions and ceremonies commemorating the importance of these waterways for Amsterdam’s place in the world. Of course, Amsterdam Gay Pride culminates in the celebratory Canal Pride parade, whereby organisations and partygoers take to the stately Prinsengracht canal for one jubilant afternoon. What better way to enjoy the waters that have connected Amsterdam with the world?

This year’s theme: Reflect

The starring role of the shimmering canal network in Amsterdam’s history was the ideal starting point for this year’s Amsterdam Gay Pride theme: ‘Reflect’. Culminating in the party weekend of 2-4 August, this year’s Amsterdam Gay Pride will be bigger than ever. But the event and its significance have grown in more ways than just in terms of its scale.

Irene Hemelaar, executive director of ProGay, the association that organises Amsterdam Gay Pride, notes that ‘this year’s Amsterdam Gay Pride is something of a meditation, albeit it a jubilant one: ‘2013 is a big year for Amsterdam; it is the year that we celebrate 400 years of the canals that have brought the city such prosperity, and opened it up to the world as a place for people of all backgrounds, ethnicities and walks of life to come together. We will take the opportunity to look back on how far the LGBT community has come during this remarkable period. And we will shine like never before!’

A history to cherish

It goes without saying that Amsterdam has a rich gay tradition. The first gay bar opened here in 1927 (Café ’t Mandje, still open today at Zeedijk 63) and the planet’s first gay marriages happened in Amsterdam’s City Hall in 2001. The COC Netherlands has been advocating the rights of lesbian women, gay men, bisexuals and transgenders since 1946, and is one of the few LGBT organizations that enjoys special consultative status within the United Nations.

A future to secure

Things keep moving, and welcome additions to gay life in Amsterdam include new bars, such as the lesbian-run Café Bordó in the Nieuwe Nieuwstraat. On a wider level, Dutch Minister for gender and LGBT emancipation, Jet Bussemaker, points to the Netherlands’ hosting of a major international conference on the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia in May: ‘The Netherlands has a progressive character, but even today, lesbian women, gay men, bisexuals and transgenders are experiencing discrimination, violence and unequal rights,’ she says. Although Bussemaker points out that ‘individuals, businesses and institutions have a responsibility to help improve the situation,’ she believes that Government also has a part to play, and is looking forward to participating in the Amsterdam Gay Pride 2013 festivities: ‘This year there will again be an official cabinet boat in the Canal Parade. It has a very special theme, but that’s all I’m allowed to say for now!’

FAST FIGURES: AMSTERDAM GAY PRIDE IN NUMBERS

350,000 visitors to the Canal Pride parade annually - 45,000 visitors during 4 days of street parties - 98 outdoor bars - 200,000 beers - 4 football pitches of dance floor - 10 outdoor stages - 3,000,000 beats – 120 different events in 9 days.

A RAINBOW OF A PROGRAMME

Amsterdam Gay Pride has much more to offer than just the Canal Pride parade:

- Street Parties
The evening of Friday 2 August is when Amsterdam’s LGBTs and friends hit the atmospheric cobbled streets for open-air celebrations and wild dancing. Choose your scene, from the hip, young vibe of the Reguliersdwarsstraat to the Dutch carnival atmosphere near the Amstel river.

- Grey Pride
A series of events, from debates to cabaret, geared towards a mature crowd. www.roze50plus.nl

- Drag Queen Olympics
Friday August 2: Featuring gruelling disciplines like the Handbag Toss and the High Heel Sprint, this bedazzling sporting contest on the Homomonument is something of an Amsterdam Gay Pride institution.

AMSTERDAM: GAYCATION DESTINATION

Amsterdam is the perfect place for a gay-flavoured long or short break, with a host of friendly and characterful gay neighbourhoods to explore…

Gaybourhood #1: Homomonument
Karin Daan’s three-sectioned pink triangle – symbolising past, present and future – was a world first. It’s also a place to celebrate and be proud: for Amsterdam Gay Pride, it gets annexed as an open-air disco, and the site of the world-famous Drag Queen Olympics. The Pink Point hut offers year-round information and souvenirs, and the nearby Anne Frank House offers another opportunity to reflect on the meaning of freedom.

Gaybourhood #2: Warmoesstraat/Zeedijk
The long and narrow Warmoesstraat is the oldest street in town, and it’s home to leather bars, sex shops and Getto, a friendly café where the burgers are named after drag queens. Among the Asian eateries of nearby Zeedijk, you’ll find Café ’t Mandje, Amsterdam’s – perhaps the world’s – oldest gay and lesbian bar. Nearby, The Queen’s Head pub is known for its colourful and cosy bingo nights.

Gaybourhood #3: Reguliersdwarsstraat
Practically every bar and shop on the strip between the Koningsplein and the Vijzelstraat is broadly painted with the pink brush, including awesome new Club NYX. Named after the Greek goddess of the night, this cool kids’ mecca makes liberal use of graffiti, glitter and concrete. Just down the road, spacious bar Dvars is a grown-up drinking den for Amsterdam’s new army of cocktail-loving sophisticates.

Gaybourhood #4: Kerkstraat
Home to gay hotels such as the ever-popular ‘Hotel Amistad’, and the outrageous Club Church, where local drag legend Jennifer Hopelezz holds court with her merry band of ne’er-do-wells.

Gaybourhood #5: Amstel
The scene neighbouring the Amstel river to the east of the centre is light-hearted, friendly and camp, with tiny brown cafes in the traditional Amsterdam mould, but there’s the odd slick newcomer, like Club AIR. In business for over 30 years, Vive la Vie on the Amstelstraat is one of the city’s most vibrant lesbian venues.

Where does Amsterdam stand in terms of Gay rights worldwide? Eberhard van der Laan, the city’s mayor since 2010, gives a personal perspective.

1. What does Amsterdam Gay Pride mean to you?

Amsterdam Gay Pride is one of the headline events for our city. It is the celebration of tolerance and it demonstrates what kind of town Amsterdam truly is: diverse, colourful, open and hospitable to all. I’ve experienced that first hand from my own participation in the Canal Pride parade. It’s so heartening to see that the crowd on the banks of the canals has come from all walks of life.

2. Why is Amsterdam Gay Pride so important for the city?

Amsterdam Gay Pride shows that we are open to the world and happy to welcome everyone. Whether heterosexual, bisexual, transgender or homosexual, everyone can be themselves here.

3. What is the defining aspect of Amsterdam Gay Pride for you?

The highlight of Amsterdam Gay Pride is undeniably the Canal Pride parade. A colourful spectacle making full use of the canals that celebrate their 400th anniversary this year, this alone makes Amsterdam Gay Pride a unique proposition. That said, I think the diversity of the participants grows more heartening with each passing year. I’m thinking about the people aboard the Turkish boat, the boat representing our Ministry of Defence, boats representing international companies that have a presence here in Amsterdam… It’s the diversity that makes the Amsterdam Gay Pride unique.

4. The theme of this year’s Amsterdam Gay Pride is ‘Reflect’. How does that correspond to the broader 2013 celebrations across the city?

The 400th anniversary of Amsterdam’s canal network, along with the anniversaries of several of our cultural icons, has combined to make ‘Amsterdam 2013’ a year-long celebration. One of the icons is the 225-year old Felix Meritis on the Keizersgracht Canal. In many ways, this Enlightenment institution, steeped in Enlightenment values, holds the DNA of Amsterdam. Inevitably, we occasionally fall short of those values. So it’s appropriate that we reflect on how far we’ve come, but also on the work that remains. In the true spirit of reflection, we invite LGBT activists from all over the world to come to Amsterdam and exchange their knowledge with the LGBT community of the Netherlands.

5. You’ve spoken in the past of your desire for a more compassionate city. How is that coming along?

I’m talking about how we treat the poorest and weakest residents of Amsterdam; the dignity and care we afford such people is the litmus test of civilization. The same applies for members of the LGBT community.

Rosario Dawson recovers stolen memories in "TRANCE"

ROSARIO DAWSON RECOVERS STOLEN MEMORIES IN “TRANCE”

In the psychological caper “Trance” directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle, Rosario Dawson delves deep into her role as Elizabeth Lamb, a hypnotherapist that she says has broken every mold of a character she’s ever played.

Stolen memories will resurface in “Trance.” Simon (James McAvoy), a fine art auctioneer, teams up with a criminal gang to steal a Goya painting worth millions of dollars. After suffering a blow to the head during the heist, he awakens to discover he has no memory of where he hid the painting. When physical threats and torture fail to produce answers, the gang’s leader Franck (Vincent Cassel) hires hypnotherapist Elizabeth Lamb (Rosario Dawson) to reach into the darkest recesses of Simon’s psyche. As Elizabeth begins to unravel Simon’s broken subconscious, the line between truth, suggestion, and deceit begin to blur.

Boyle brings a fresh take on the iconic femme fatale in the character of Dawson as Elizabeth Lamb, the beautiful hypnotherapist who proves to be every bit the equal of the men playing power games around her. The most alluring leg of the movie’s triangle belongs to Lamb which Dawson molded to become a very modern re-model of the classic femme fatale. At first she seems like she might be just an eye-catching, over-confident pawn in an all-male game, but Elizabeth’s true power begins to emerge as the story unravels.

Known for her previous notable works in “Sin City,” “Rent,” “Seven Pounds” and “He Got Game,” Dawson has worked with many of the world’s leading directors, from Spike Lee to Quentin Tarantino, Chris Columbus and the late Tony Scott – but this role is totally different from her previous ones. “I’ve never played anyone even remotely like her,” says Dawson of Elizabeth Lamb. “Elizabeth is totally different because she’s hiding everything. You only get hints of her emotion through her doing things with her hair to show her restraint but when she lets her hair down, she really lets her hair down. Then, you get to see a different side of her. It’s subtle; it’s completely unspoken. And she’s a wonderful presence to have between these two guys,” Dawson explains.

One of the most intriguing aspects of “Trance” for Boyle was the chance to present a woman as an equal player in a crime thriller. “You make all these films and you have great women in them, but they’re basically about guys - Ewan McGregor, Cillian Murphy, Dev Patel, James Franco or Leonardo DiCaprio. So what I love about “Trance” is there’s a woman most definitely right in the thick of it, holding her own.”

He knew he needed an actress capable of evoking Elizabeth’s underlying strength. “I’d always had Rosario in mind for the role,” he says. “I’d always wanted to work with her. She won’t thank me for saying this, but everything I’ve seen her in, I don’t think people have used her fully; I don’t think her talent as an actor has been fully exploited. We wanted someone who had a real commanding presence: an ability with words and an independence – a stand-alone quality.”

Dawson researched her character’s profession by attending hypnosis classes and poring through books on hypnotherapy and psychology. “I met with a couple of hypnotherapists. I even got hypnotized,” she explains. “I noticed that every single person in the profession that I met exuded this confidence. They give off this feeling of ‘I know the secrets to your brain, and you don’t understand how you think or why you behave that way but I do and I can help you.’ So that was really interesting and it wasn’t an accident I played her that way.”

“Trance” opens May 1 in cinemas nationwide from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

AXN Announces the Global Launch of the Highly Anticipated, Original Series HANNIBAL

Starring Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy and Laurence Fishburne
HANNIBAL Premieres April 8, 2013 on AXN across Asia

AXN will premiere the highly anticipated, original series Hannibal on April 8, 2013 (Monday) at 10PM. A cinematic thriller from the imaginative mind of Bryan Fuller (Heroes, Pushing Daisies) and the artful direction of David Slade (Twilight: Eclipse, 30 Days of Night), Hannibal explores the early relationship of Thomas Harris' famous characters, renowned psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter and gifted FBI criminal profiler Will Graham.

Hannibal stars Hugh Dancy (The Big C, King Arthur, Black Hawk Down) as Will Graham, a brilliant, empathic FBI profiler who is able to mentally re-trace the twisted thoughts and methods of the agencies most-wanted serial killers. His boss and handler, Jack Crawford (Laurence H. Fishburne, The Matrix, Contagion, CSI), who harnesses Will’s uncanny ability to see into minds of the evil, recognizes his need for psychiatric help after a particularly disturbing case. As a result, Will finds himself assigned to the care of the highly-respected psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen, Casino Royale, The Hunt, A Royal Affair). Unbeknownst to Will, there is a reason Dr. Lecter has particular insight into these horrible crimes and the psychopaths who commit them. What follows is a masterful mind game set against the contrasting worlds of good and evil where lines blur, elegance breeds horror and nothing is what it seems.

Fuller’s stylized, procedural drama is the latest AXN original series, ideally suited for AXN channels across Asia and the rest of the world. As part of the global launch in April 2013, Hannibal will be rolled out in over 80 countries and versioned in 18 languages around the world. Hannibal is produced by Gaumont International Television in association with Sony Pictures Television Networks.

These "bulging" Nissin Cup Noodles guys

April 6, 2013

This was two Wednesdays ago. I was on my way to Starbucks in Standard Chartered Building when I saw this huge tarpaulin of Nissin Cup Noodles and a couple of guys standing right next to it....dressed in what seemed like superhero costumes.

I got so excited and all upon seeing them so I approached them and asked for a photo with them. One of them actually had a really deep and "big" voice. Little did I know that it's not only his voice that was "big" about him. CHOZ!

I really like taking photos with mascots and cosplayers.

My friend also posed for a photo with them but I won't post her photo here anymore.

I thanked those two guys and headed to Starbucks. As I was checking those photos...I kinda noticed something....

My lips are now sealed. LOLZ!

That's all. Thank you.

I hope you can still remember this post. It kinda became one of my top posts for like 2 weeks or so.

And....FINALLY! The hunk has a name. CHOZ!

He's Hobart Cervantes and, yes, he's a model. I'm just not sure if he's still active in the modeling world as these photos that you'll be seeing next were taken 2 years ago.

And, yes as well, he already has a girlfriend.

So, I guess let's just probably enjoy these photos of him, shall we?

I know each of us has different tastes, so...just let me be. LOLZ! I still think he's hot and very hunky. And cute.
Time to see some skin? Ahihihihi! CAUTION: HOT!!! Swear. As in. SUPER!!!
I love how well-proportioned his body is. Just the right distribution of muscles here and there.
PHEW! I think it's already getting so hot in here....
Ok. I won't say anything anymore.
I won't say anything...anymore....

Probably my favorite photo of him. GOSH! I said something! Sorry! Couldn't help it.
He's standing with his back facing a mirror.
One of his hottest poses ever! I wonder how tall he is?
He's not in his briefs here but for me this is his hottest pose.
I love Hobart Cervantes....

Ok. That's all for now.

Gosh...I think I'm gonna faint! NOW! CHOZ!

This year Plastic Martyr was even used in a worldwide M.A.C cosmetic ad as well as featured in a photography book by Rowynn Dumont.

Plastic Martyr is very unique in that he does not identify as transgender, just as a “boy who embraced natural androgyny and natural femininity”. He shares his love for fashion and self-expression with his followers and fans encouraging them to find themselves and embrace their individuality “despite what society says”. Plastic Martyr recently claimed that he sees himself as “Genderless” meaning that gender is so unimportant and doesn’t define him. He also promotes a healthy image and lifestyle being anti-drugs and alcohol.

He constantly is breaking down walls in the fashion and entertainment world showing that “Gender And Fashion Should Have No Boundaries” making it clear that despite the gender, beauty is a separate thing. Currently Plastic Martyr is working as a high fashion print model for many US designers making his way into magazines, fashion blogs and even the occasional runway and red carpets.

He is known for his elaborate and dramatic photo shoots, and ground breaking fashion as well as his classic “vintage Hollywood” beauty that he spins with an “Avant Guard” twist and a transformative edge. He always produces something new and eye catching while still remaining true to himself and being loyal to his image.

There’s Plenty of Fish in the Sea at Sentro 1771

There’s Plenty of Fish in the Sea at Sentro 1771

Sentro 1771 presents seafood dishes that will surely find a home to your family’s repertoire of top picks whether you’re aiming to be healthy or simply finding comfort from your all-time favorite seafood choices. Guaranteed low in saturated fat, these dishes are not only irresistible, they’re also good for the heart.

At Sentro 1771, tasty definitely means healthy too especially if you’re having smoked milkfish spring rolls (P270) which could serve as a filling and satisfying appetizer or entree. A festive combination of smoked milkfish, salted egg, mustard greens, onions and tomato that are rolled like spring rolls, it’s served with slightly tangy vinaigrette for some zing. An explosion of color, texture, and balance of flavors, it’s a lip smacking dish minus the guilt.

Equally-appealing and filled nothing but goodness of the sea, seafood sinigang sa miso (P250) is a classic favorite minus the meat but never lacking with mouthwatering elements such as gindara, milkfish, and shrimps seasoned with miso for more depth and flavor. Good food begets fresh and all-natural ingredients, and that’s the promise of this dish. It’s spirited, chunky, and heartwarming especially that the broth is made from scratch. Plus, it has chockfull of colorful diced veggies from tomatoes, okra, taro corms, daikon, water spinach, and eggpplant stewed in tamarind. And as a charming signature tradition, you get the chance to adjust the level of sourness of the soup by sipping and tasting it before serving.

Fried usually gets a bad rap as something calorie-laden, but not Sentro 1771’s Rated GG or galunggong (grilled mackerel scad, P230 and P445). Yes, fried healthy food does exist at Sentro 1771 as this dish is fried in olive oil, filleted and generously sprinkled with toasted bits of garlic. Executive Chef Vicky Rose Pacheco not only takes pride in creating another certified Sentro 1771 original, the lowly fish was a given a rightful and impressive reputation considering galunggong is a rich source of protein and zinc.

If your family is in for smart eating, count on Sentro 1771 in satisfying you with something healthy and tasty too. There’s nothing quite anything else like a brown rice that can make a marvelous pair with these amazing, healthy choices, so it’s a good thing that Sentro 1771 has this in the menu. So whether you’re a healthy eater or seekers of all-natural whole foods, find these Sentro 1771 dishes indulgent, never leaving behind the taste and joy of eating while bringing a new appreciation for something deliciously low-calorie.

Sentro 1771 in Greenbelt 3 is open from 11am to 11pm (Monday to Sunday) while Serendra is from 7am to 10:00 pm (Sunday to Thursday) / 7am to 11:00pm (Friday to Saturday). For inquiries and reservations, call Sentro Greenbelt 3 (02) 757 3941 or Sentro Serendra (02) 856 0581.

Blue Sky Studios breaks new grounds in the animated spectacle "EPIC" (3D)

BLUE SKY STUDIOS BREAKS NEW GROUNDS IN THE ANIMATED SPECTACLE “EPIC” (3D)

Prepare to be hurtled along in a journey to the fantastical, spectacular world of “Epic” from Blue Sky Studios, the studio that brought to life the most beloved and successful motion pictures “Ice Age” and “Rio.”

Filmmaker Chris Wedge helms the upcoming larger-than-life “Epic” based on the beloved children’s book “The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs” by William Joyce which introduced Samurai-like warriors, the Leafmen– and a war being waged in our own backyards between the forces of life and the forces of decay.

In the thick of adventure in “Epic” is a smart, spirited and headstrong 17-year-old named Mary Katherine but prefers to be called MK (voiced by Amanda Seyfried). She returns to her childhood home to reconnect with her estranged father, Professor Bomba (Jason Sudeikis), M.K. loses patience with his endless stories of unseen people who live in the woods. But when she is magically transported into the Leafmen’s world, she gains a new perspective. To find her way home, M.K. must do more than believe in this world; she’ll have to help save it.

The film’s visual wonders breaks new ground in animated spectacle, realism, action and adventure, but it is Epic’s characters and the actors who portray them that take center stage. Along with Seyfried’s and Sudeikis’ voices in “Epic” are Beyonce Knowles, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Pitbull, Blake Anderson, Aziz Ansari, Chris O’Dowd and Christoph Waltz.

The ongoing battle between good and evil in “Epic” transports MK in a secret universe where she teams up with an elite band of warriors headed by Ronin (Farrell), Nod (Hutcherson), a crew of comical creatures including a snail named Grub (O’Dowd), a slug named Mub (Ansari) and the Leafmen’s queen, Queen Tara (Knowles). Together they fight to save the forest from the Boggans headed by Mandrake (Waltz) and his son Dagda (Anderson). In the midst of it all is a caterpillar named Nim Galuu (Tyler), a consummate party animal whose practical know-how make him a key player to save the forest. Between the forces of light and darkness is Bufo (Pitbull), a tough-guy toad who is a wheeler and a dealer who likes to play all the angles no matter which side wins or loses.

“Epic’s” world is lush and alive through Michael Knapp’s supervision, the movie’s art director in charge of designing characters, colors, environments, textures, story and lighting. Working with Chris Wedge and artists to transform the familiar environs of a woods into a kind of alien universe, where the colors are more vivid, the light more expressive, and vegetation sways as if it were consciously alive.

With these departments achieving unprecedented levels of realism and spectacle, Wedge singles out “pushing the animation further than ever before” as another formidable creative challenge. “Our characters in EPIC are the most sophisticated-looking and human-looking of all our Blue Sky Studios projects,” he says.

Colin Farrell who voices Ronin enthuses on making the film, “The film is epic by name, epic by nature and epic by experience.” The Blue Sky Studios team has no bigger fan than Beyoncé Knowles, who says, “The animators based much of their work on footage of the actors recording our lines, so my facial expressions and body language have become part of Queen Tara.

“I was blown away by the detail in the animation,” she continues. “It’s very hard to even tell it’s animation; it looks so lifelike. I’ve always imagined being in an animated film, so to see that happen was really exciting for me.”

Action is also king – or, in this case, Queen – in EPIC, which features two spectacular battles, including the climactic confrontation in which the Leafmen, M.K. and Bomba face off against Mandrake and the Boggans that will decide the fate of Queen Tara’s Moonhaven. It’s grand storytelling, giant action, and bigger than life heroes and villains in the ultimate war between good and evil.

It’s EPIC. And it’s all happening in a world you’ve never seen before – but is as close as your own backyard.

Opening across the nation on May 24, “Epic” in 3D and 2D is from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

SPT Networks Unveils Second Screen App to Accompany International Premieres of Hannibal
Synchronized live to broadcasts around the world

Singapore, 08 April 2013 – Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks has unveiled a custom second screen viewing app to accompany the premiere of their hotly anticipated drama, Hannibal, which it co-commissioned for its global portfolio of channels. Developed by SPT Networks’ digital arm, the Hannibal app will initially be made available in local languages to accompany the series on AXN channels serving Spanish-speaking Latin America, Brazil, pan Asia, Spain and Portugal. It will be the first scripted second screen app in several territories. In Asia, Hannibal will premiere on Monday, 8 April at 10pm in the Philippines and on Tuesday, 9 April, across East Asia at 10pm (SG, MY, HK)/ 9pm (JKT).

SPT’s second screen Hannibal app will synchronise to each episode as it airs live, and also use audio watermarking technology that will trigger it to synchronise during any DVR and VOD playback. The app will be available through iTunes for all iOS mobile phones and tablets to accompany international premieres on AXN channels from April 2013.

Users will be able to access exclusive Hannibal content, learn more about characters, watch relationships unfold and access behind-the-scenes footage. Integrated social media elements will enable viewers to interact directly with the show and other fans in a hosted Hannibal community.

Eric Berger, executive vice president, digital networks at SPT, said: “SPT’s second screen Hannibal app will be a first for drama series in many markets, breaking new ground for pay TV. Hannibal is bursting with additional material and storylines that enrich the viewer experience through this app and which, thanks to the technology now available, we can synchronise live to any schedule, anytime.”

“Hannibal is tailor-made for this kind of real-time digital experience, said Marie Jacobson, executive vice president programming and production, networks for SPT. “We feel strongly the deep mythology and intricate character weaves of our series will drive core fans of the genre to seek out our app and engage at new levels.”

Hannibal is a new 13 part series based on the world-renowned mythology and infamous character portrait of Dr Hannibal Lecter from the Thomas Harris horror novels. The chilling series takes viewers back to the beginning and introduces two of fiction’s most enigmatic characters for the first time. The programme stars Hugh Dancy (The Big C, Confessions of a Shopaholic, King Arthur) as Will Graham, Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale, Clash of the Titans) as Hannibal Lecter and Laurence Fishburne (CSI, The Matrix) as Jack Crawford. The show is executive produced by Bryan Fuller (Heroes, Pushing Daisies, Dead Like Me) and directed by David Slade (Twilight Eclipse, 30 Days of Night, Awake pilot). David Slade and Martha de Laurentiis also executive produce.

Produced by Gaumont International Television in association with SPT Networks (through AXN Original Productions), Hannibal will premiere in April on SPT’s networks in 63 countries and in 18 languages around the globe. The series was also commissioned by NBC for the US market.

I have a new crush and his name is Clint Bondad

April 8, 2013

I have an announcement....CHOZ!!!

Ok. Here it goes.

I just actually came from a "business meeting" and also from watching "It Takes a Man and a Woman" in Greenbelt. I have no takeaways from the former but I kinda realized a lot of things from the latter. Something about falling in love, of course. Plus "making choices."

I've been wanting to blog about Clint Bondad again for months now as in literally. MONTHS. Ever since I first blogged about him last July 2012 (click here).

You all know what happened when I made several blog posts about Heydar Hosseini 2 years ago. I was just so in love with him that I couldn't stop myself from putting my emotions and feelings into words via my blog. The result? I received hate mails and comments and everything else that had something to do with hate from his "friends from the fashion industry" and other random people that I didn't even know. That's why my very last post about him was still dated back in June of last year (click here). Nothing followed since then.

I really don't like making enemies. You all know that. I'd like to think that I have "class" and that my parents brought me up in a nice way. The Catholic way. I'd also rather avoid an incoming problem than be involved in it. That's just really me.

Anyway, Heydar and I still friends and we communicate with each other from time to time but that's just it. He's not gonna be my boyfriend in real life anyway so I'd rather not "invest" that much on him.

But, ever since I finished watching that John Lloyd-Sarah movie a couple of hours ago I just finally came to realize that...hey....I need to make a choice. I should not let anyone influence my choices in life, particularly when it comes to my most beloved blog. Loving is a choice. Blogging is a choice. Connection much? LOLZ!

So here I am now...blogging...telling the whole world...to you guys....

That I have a new crush and his name is CLINT BONDAD!

CHOZ!!! Teehee!!!

Just look at him. (By the way, he's half Filipino, half German. And he currently holds the other half of my heart. Ahihihihihi!!! LANDEH MUCH!)

I'm really not that much into guys with "facial hair" but lately I kinda find a guy with some "stubble" to be sexy in a classy way. I guess this has something to do with my too much reading of Fifty Shades. But, no, Clint isn't a Christian Grey. For me. I don't think he has "inner demons" in him. He's more like an Edward Cullen instead. Breathtakingly and inhumanly beautiful.
I mean....just look at him! He's like an angel who has fallen from the sky....to save me from my miserable gay life. CHOZ again!!! I just dunno how tall he is, but that shouldn't matter. He's a ramp model, too, so I believe he's more than 5'10". Male ramp models are required to be above 5'10" in height (that's what I know).
I honestly don't care about his body. Swear. Yes, he has a six pack, but it's not "that hot." It's just right. I dunno why but I find him sexier with his clothes on, his lips pursing into a smile, and his glistening eyes dazzling me whenever I stare at 'em. Gosh....am I in love again? LOLZ! Teehee!

I think I've already seen Clint in person. Back in December I think when I attended this party at Palladium (sponsored by Lay Bare). I saw him in Greenbelt 3 carrying a backpack. He was wearing a black and white striped shirt. I'm not sure if that's really him, though. I saw him looked at me but I didn't pay much attention at him. I pretended to ignore him, but deep inside my heart was already pounding like crazy.

"Bon-Dad...Bon-Dad...Bon-Dad...." LOLZ!

That's all. I dunno what else to say. I bet he already has a girlfriend. But, that's fine. It's just a crush. (For now.)

There you go. I just really thought of letting that out. And it kinda felt good.

So, I guess...you guys can expect more posts about him in the future from me. But, perhaps not that often. First and foremost, we're not personally friends. I just know him as Clint and he, of course, knows me as VinVin. Our friendship just revolves around the realms of this social networking site called Facebook. And he doesn't even follow me on Twitter. LOLZ!

Again....

I have a new crush and his name is Clint Bondad.

And he inspires me. That's a good thing. Right?

I hope I can have a photo taken with him one time.

Good night!

Falling in love is a choice. Take it. It's yours. CHOZ!

April 9, 2013

Ever wondered how top male models get their hair fixed before their photo shoots or prior to their runway shows?

Hmmmm....?

Here. Take a look. (I'm not sure if all three of them are British, but I know Chris and Jace are. Not sure about Charles.)

Photos from Twitter.

This cutie over here is Charles Melton. I love his chest. And his abs. And, yes, his nose. And his eyes. And his lips. Oh...sorry....we're supposed to talk about how he gets his hair fixed. I forgot. Teehee!
A couple of other cutie male models, Chris Jones and Jace Moody. I like James Moody more, but, of course, Chris Jones also looks amazing. I guess it's James' hair that I like more. It's a little Edward Cullen-ish for me.

So...what did you notice?

Hmmmm....?

Yes...they're all....TOPLESS!!! Ahihihihihi! Landeh much!

I just really so love British guys....

Ok. That's all. Thank you.

Good night!

What my college love, Yanex, told me....

$

April 10, 2013

I was chatting with "an old college love" last weekend, Yanex, and he kinda gave some words of advice. LOLZ!

I hope you can still remember him. If not, then, click here.

Yanex is the sweetest and most truthful guy I've ever known. And, yes, he's also the first guy who told me that if I were a girl he could've courted me and asked me to be his girlfriend.

He never "used" me. He's straighter than straight and his principles in life are just commendable. He loved me the way a straight guy friend could love a becky like me.

Anyway, here's what he told me.

"Vin, 'wag ka maghanap ng gwapo...mahirap 'yan...they will just break your heart...ma-stress ka lang kasi dami mag-flirt!!! 'Wag gwapo...."

Based on personal experience...I think he's kinda right. Unfortunately. Yeah. True.

Anyhow, yes again, that's how Yanex looks like now. Teehee!

He hasn't changed a bit, but, I bet he's 26 years old now. He has a girlfriend, too. I'm not sure but I believe both of them are based in Thailand now. Not sure.

But, well...thank you, Yanex. I will love you forever. You know I always value you and your advice.

I miss you. ♥♥♥
